SNNNNNNNNAAAAAP!’ That, ladies and germs, is the sound of Bizarre’s sniffably lovely Natalie Blair pulling a pair of latex pants beyond breaking point.

During today’s stenchingly good cover shoot, our Nat has managed to snap, twang and pop three pairs in the course of being photographed. Luckily, Bizarre’s wardrobe department has come prepared with numerous spares, because we’re the magazine that likes to pull pants. Hard. And thankfully, Natalie feels the same way.

“I knew they were going to snap, they just kept telling me to pull them!” she laughs. “But I don’t mind, today’s been brilliant. Despite the wardrobe malfunctions...”

Indeed, today nearly featured another fashion mishap. Earlier on, Natalie’s skyscraping heels were taped to the floor for fear she’d topple on the lube-soaked surface while pulling one of her impressively bendy poses. Not that the Cumbrian beauty has problems with heels.

“It wasn’t my fault, I’m very, very good in heels,” she says, mock-offended. “High heels are my favourite thing in the world. Heels and latex – I love how latex makes me feel empowered and sexy. It just makes me feel great. Plus, it really pushes my boobs up, as it has today. That never happens! For once I was looking down and thinking, ‘Whoa, are these mine? Cool!'”

Snapped pants, high heels, and gravity-defying cleavage – it’s been a good day for the beauteous Blair, who's “chuffed” to be in Bizarre. “I remember seeing Kitty Lea and Vikki Blows on the cover of the magazine and they were so arty and amazing,” she says. I always wanted to be in Bizarre, but I never thought I’d get the chance. I’m shocked, and really pleased.”

We’re happy to feature such an aromatically arresting cover model in our scratch and sniff special. But while Natalie doesn’t mind the smell of latex, she revels in girlier scents.

“Latex is a weird smell,” she ponders. “Particularly when you start to sweat; it can get a bit funky. Personally, I like nice smells like strawberries and candyfloss – not that I find anything kinky in them, they’re just nice! But I can’t stand any kind of stench. People who smell bad offend me. It sounds really horrible, but if I’m in the supermarket and someone smells bad, I have to get my perfume out. The gym is another bad place – the stink can be horrendous. Not from me, of course!”

KNICKER-KNOCKER GLORY

Sure Nat, we believe you. For two years, the 21-year-old has been causing quite a whiff in the modelling world. She had no real intention of becoming a model until biology took over. “I always wanted to be the girl on the magazine or on the catwalk,” she says. “But I was never tall enough. But then I got boobs aged 18. As soon as they came, I just said: “Let’s get them out there.”

Aided by her supportive boyfriend, who took her first shots (“he wants me to get my boobs out even more than I do,” she giggles), Natalie has become a rising alt.model. Her dream shoot involves high heels (obviously), plenty of colour, and zombies.

“I love zombies!” she squeals. “I’m obsessed with them, I love playing zombie videogames and drawing them. But I can’t watch zombie movies; I can’t do scary movies at all, I’ll lose sleep. But I’m OK when there’s a gun in my hand.”

It’s hard to believe but, strained by the long hours travelling from Carlisle to London, Natalie considered giving up modelling for good just a couple of months ago. Luckily for everyone, she changed her mind (phew), and now has a new goal for 2011.

“I appeared in a music video (Skepta’s ‘Cross My Heart’) last year, and I’d like to do more. I’d love to do an Eminem music video. Or I’d just do him, and then we’d shoot the video,” she grins.
