What a year it’s been for the battle of the Ultra Vixens! The standard keeps getting higher and the pictures are jaw dropping. Over the last year, we’ve seen pretty pin ups, despicable dolls, latex lovelies, and, of course, plenty of gore. There’s one thing for sure, these gals know how to put up a good fight! We let Bizarre readers decide who deserved the crown and you didn’t let us down. In fact, you choose incredibly well. Meet your victor – Miss Submiss.

It’s a blustery day when we meet in a beautiful town house in west London. The bottom half of the property is a serene wash of white walls and minimalism, but further up it looks like someone fell asleep with a fag on the go and the whole joint went up in smoke.

In one of the charred rooms is 18-year-old Miss Submiss (aka Dani Harris), sitting pretty with blood red geisha lips and sleek, black hair. Behind her is our favourite latex lady, Nina Kate, with armfuls of Jane Doe Latex designs ready to choose from. The make-up girls are busy working their magic and the photographer is testing the lights and dancing around wires trailing across the floor.

It’s a good time to pull up a chair and get under the skin of our UV victor before the camera calls. “I was at my friend’s house when I found out I’d won the Ultra Vixens competition,” recalls Miss Submiss. “I went mad and started jumping around, but deep down I knew I was going to win. I’m quite psychic and often have dreams that come true.”

Not only could she give Mystic Meg a run for her money, but she’s no stranger to being in front of the camera. “The online gothic magazine Nocturnal invited me through MySpace to shoot with them a couple of years ago. I didn’t know what to expect, but I really loved it and I felt like I was a natural.”

Since then, she’s posed for corset connoisseurs Lacing Lilith, hit the catwalk to model at fetish fashion shows and says one of her favourite shoots was sitting in a bath wearing a crisp white nurse’s uniform, drenched in blood. “It was my idea. I love blood and it looked really real!”

Modelling is not the only notch on this lady’s belt. Miss Submiss is a qualified beauty therapist, and is currently taking a gap year from studying science to concentrate on modelling.

She’s also adding to her burgeoning footwear collection. “I’m a complete and utter shoe addict!” she says, pointing to her own pair of dangerously high patent fuck-me boots. “I think they look sexy on women, they make your legs look great and you can tower over people! I’ve lost count of how many pairs I own. ‘Keep the heels high and the skirts short’ – that’s my motto.”

And high heels also come in handy as weapons. “Once I was on the beach drinking with my friends and this guy turned up. I didn’t really want him there, so I told him to leave. He got angry and grabbed me round the throat tightly. It was really scary, but later I was overcome by rage.

I marched over to him and knocked him in the face a few times, breaking my finger. I instinctively reached down to my stiletto and flew at him with it. Afterwards, I noticed blood on my hand and I was trying to work out where I’d hurt myself. I soon realised it was his blood, not mine.”


We’ve clearly got a feisty girl on our hands, yet her modelling name curiously alludes to a softer side. “I gave myself the name Miss Submiss,” she explains. “I kept getting tons of messages from guys on MySpace and Facebook asking, ‘Can I be your slave?’ or ‘Can I lick your shoes?’ It’s such a turn-off for me. I felt I needed to make it clear to people what I’m into.”

Being in a relationship with a dominant man at the tender age of 16 first opened Miss Submiss’ eyes to her sexual desires. “I really enjoyed his dominance over me in the bedroom,” she says. “I discovered that I like being thrown around, manhandled and I really like being called ‘bitch’. I also like the surprise element. Not knowing what someone might do to me is exciting.”


When she’s not tottering around on killer heels, or attacking men with them, you’ll find Miss Submiss shaking her tail feathers at London club Slimelight. She coyly admits to first going there while she was underage, but insists it’s a place where she feels safe expressing herself. “I know everyone there and it’s like a small, friendly community. It feels like home,” she says. “I felt the same way when I first went to Torture Garden. I like the fact there’s so much freedom to be who you want and go wild.”

Maybe it was being one of the only alternative students in her college that fostered Miss Submiss’ inner confidence. She often got negative reactions from fellow pupils and teachers. “I’d be gawped at all the time, which is fine, but I’d get yelled at too. Teachers were angry with me and made me cover up my coloured hair,” she says. But this didn’t stop her from exploring her wild side.

One day, bored in class and armed with a giant safety pin, she gave herself an industrial piercing by harpooning her upper ear cartilage. “I also did my own tragus (the cartilage in front of the ear canal), and other ear piercings,” she says. “Admittedly, I was drunk on those occasions, but I got my tongue and belly button done professionally!”


At the end of the shoot, a rather exhausted but happy Miss Submiss coos over the outfits she’s worn throughout the day. “I loved working the fucked-up look with the fur coat and running mascara, but the black full-length latex dress is amazing. It’s exactly what I would choose for myself,” she gushes. “I’ve had so much fun with Bizarre.” With that, she packs up her high heels, lets down her hair, throws on her coat and strides off to scare commuters with her bloody eye make-up. That’s our girl.
