Tipped by über-snapper Lithium Picnic for big things in 2010, weeny 5ft2in 20-year-old Lauren emerged from The Brigade, a group of stilt-walkers, fire-breathers and living statues who performed with The Dresden Dolls.

A photoshoot for the collective ignited a passion for modelling, which she’s turned into a career. She’s walked in the Hello Kitty 35th Anniversary Show, shot with Bizarre cover girl Mosh, and has appeared in a Marilyn Manson video. She’s fiercely intelligent, has marched in support of gay marriage, and intends to “get serious” about fashion design.

Her current obsession, though, is blades. “I’m trying to master the butterfly knife,” she reveals. Her plans for 2010 include fronting her own Sugarpill make-up line and making
 a trip to the UK. Watch out!
