Hamming it up in ParmaPermalink| Discussion:Posted in on June 17, 2008 at 6:04 pm Hear ye, hear ye, ’tis Foxtrot of Ye Olde Bizarreville here, greeting you in a medieval (media-evil?) style today. Why? Because I’ve got a backlog of news to share, and some of it seems so ancient to me now that it might as well be running around a straw-strewn courtyard kicking a pig’s bladder about and having putrid chamber pots emptied on it from castle turrets. In future I’ll be reaching out and fondling your moist bits via the medium of bloggage at least once a week, but I’ve been a busy buzzy bumble bee* lately - having freelanced for Bizarre for just over a year, they made me permanent Staff Writer…huzzah! I’ll be looking after the Weird World section from now on, so be sure to tell me what you like and what you don’t when the next issue comes out mid-July. Got ideas for what you’d like to see in future, or some more-bonkers-than-an-orgy revelation to tell me? Send it whizzing to alix_fox@dennis.co.uk. Anyhow, I went to Italy a few weeks ago to see my superpowered friend Jo Hunt (her dad is called Mike, which will never, ever stop being funny). We found some gigantic beers in Parma that made Jo look like a midget:
We also spotted some false gnashers made of marzipan (who do they belong to? Marc Almond?):
And I snapped this poster in Milan, featuring one of our Furry Fandom friends:
I caught some hideous lung disease on the plane back which has made me wheeze like a glue-factory donkey ever since, and which I have been pneu-moaning about to everyone at Bizarre Towers, but it was well worth it to spend a long weekend laughing about encounters with unusually-shaped phalluses, setting pasta on fire and discovering that I look a lot like the lead singer of tweeny-bop-pop-rock band Tokio Hotel. So, anyone else off on their jollies soon? * Remember that game? It reminds me of those headband pointers that people with muscular problems use to type with.
