This new Brian Jones biopic includes a great scene, set in a Parisian bordello. Against a celluloid backdrop of witchcraft shenanigans, Anita Pallenberg gives the Rolling guitarist a dose of 'Serpent's Tail' blotter acid. Jefferson Airplane's 'White Rabbit' signals the start of their trip, the results of which are transmitted via a rapid-cut montage of occult, sexual and violent debauchery. Pallenberg sitting blindfolded and naked on a throne jump cuts to her giving Jones (in an SS officer's uniform) a blowjob; they reverse roles as advocates of de Sade, whipping their manacled bodies into ecstasy.
The imagery zaps from positive to negative as they fuck in public toilets; and the entire maelstrom is interspersed with Aleister Crowley's face and references to filmmaking occultist Kenneth Anger. A feast of lunacy.
