Bizarre discovers a league of real-life superheroes determined to save the world!

On 13 March 1964, Kitty Genovese was stabbed to death outside her apartment building in Queens, New York. The attack lasted half-an-hour. Thirty-eight residents were said to have witnessed it, yet none of them intervened to prevent it or even called the police until it was far too late. The story sickened people the world over and led to the term ‘the bystander effect’ or ‘Genovese syndrome’, meaning the willingness of normally law-abiding citizens to simply look the other way and not get involved if there are other witnesses present.
