Wes Craven's 1972 horror film broke new boundaries in full-on horror. Banned on release in Britain, and banned again as a 'video nasty' in the 1980s, next week sees the release of an uncut version. As the makers said at the time, "To avoid fainting, keep repeating "It's only a movie...It's only a movie..."
