Factory Girl

Release Date: 16-03-2007
UK Certificate: 18

A possible case of life imitating art, or is it the other way around? This is a film about a girl who gets sucked into a trendy crowd and gets messed up

Sienna Miller does an adequate impression of Sharon Stone in Casino and everyone says, “Wow, the girl can act!” as if it should be a surprise, considering she’s an actress and all. She plays Edie Sedgwick, protégée of Andy Warhol (a star turn from Guy Pearce), who becomes famous for no discernible reason, then loses everything for all the usual reasons you see in this sort of biopic. In the film, hardly anyone cares; neither did I, and neither will you.
