Welcome to Bizarre's picture of the week feature. Every week, we'll be digging in the Bizarre archives
for the strangest and weirdest pictures that have featured in the pages
of Bizarre. And every week, Bizarre's picture editor, Tom Broadbent,
will give you a little insight into the background and story behind the
shot. Click on the pic (right) to see the full image.
Over to Tom:
"Today's picture of the week is a picture of Cyclops Boy. He's a part-time member of the Brothers Grimm sideshow based in Chicago.
This is a old classic in that it was shot nearly five years ago but for me doesn't lose any of it's power regardless of how many times you look at it (well that's assuming you can look at it at all)
At first glance, I'm sure it's a little confusing, but to put it in context this is a picture of a thirty year old man who at the age of 23 suffered from cancer of the sinus which spread and resulted in him having an operation to remove the tumour. Which in turn ended in him having his entire eye socket removed. Ouch.

So we're seeing one of his party tricks, putting a torch in his mouth which illuminates the deep, dark recesses of the inside of his head. Somewhat akin to looking into a cave, a human cave.
His other tricks include drinking a beer through his eye socket and smoking with the smoke coming out of the eye socket. For the full story and more pictures, click here
The photographs were taken by a portrait photographer, who just happened to be a friend of his. Biff Yeager, the pictures from the story are represented exclusively on the BizarreArchive"
