Could this be the world's most unlucky man? Two weeks ago an unnamed Californian was hit by a train, dragged 87 feet and had his left hand severed. Yesterday he was hit by another train. You wait forever to be hit by one, then two come along at once.
Misfortune also struck these two teenage car thieves recently. Having broken into a vehicle, one of them managed to call 911 on their mobile, allowing emergency services to listen in and dispatch a couple of cops to arrest them. It's a little bit unlucky but it's also just phone-omenally stupid.
If your based in the UK and have the serendipity of a day off tomorrow, maybe you should take a in a day of stomach churning rollercoasters at Thorpe Park. Hey while you're there, you can even enter a smelliest pee competition with a £500 cash prize. Apart from the cash, your stench will be immortalised for all to sample on the SAW Alive ride (check out the Weird World section in this month's issue for more on SAW Alive.)
Censorship is a (SNIP - Ed) and a (SNIPITY SNIP - Ed) and it makes Bizarre wanna (SNIP-TASTIC - Ed) except we don't know where we'd get a big enough spoon. Rant off. Anyway we're none too impressed with advertising agency Lamar Advertising, who have ruled out a poster of PUPPET cleavage for a touring production of musical Avenue Q.
But maybe you agree with the above. Maybe those stuffed, furry creatures, deserve to be treated with equality. Respect. Dignity. They should be allowed to vote, attend school and claim benefits. Most of all they should be granted the right to have a holiday. Well it's time to right that particular wrong, thanks to a Czech travel agency for teddy bears. For £80 to £130 (just less than the cost of a human to travel, what a bargain!), any stuffed buddy will be given a fabulous day out in Prague. The Czech capital is the only destination at the moment but the agency hope to roll out similar trips of teddy wonderment for Berlin, Munich, Budapest, Vienna and Bratislava.
But Bizarre says leave that nonsense. For £50,000 (that's 625 teddy bear trips to Prague), you can buy your own jet pack. We'd be all like: "WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEKABOOM!" Dead, but totally worth it.
Finally sad news from the world of oddities. Vietnamese man Tran Van Hay, who unofficially claimed the world record for the longest hair, has died. His follicles were thought to be up to 6.8 metres long, and had taken fifty years to cultivate.
