While most of us have faint Valentine’s Day memories of sickly chocolates and nauseating teddy bears, a trail of festering fiends staggered across London on a nippy Saturday night to congregate for the Dance Of The Dead Zombie Prom Night with a romantic theme.

“Who gives a shit if Valentine’s Day itself has past already,” says promoter Jo Amelia Finlay. “We make up our own rules here, and it’s gonna be a truly gruesome evening!” After witnessing a couple of hungry lesbian zombies munching on each other in the loos, I’m inclined to agree.

Punk zombies mingled with heavy metal zombies and a heavily pregnant zombie was spotted bopping away to the brilliantly named band Tits Of Death. Later, the bloodthirsty crowd were treated to a smashing set from Scottish horror punk foursome, Dirty Wee Middens. Undead partygoers were also treated with a goody bag full of evil treats... and nary a teddy in sight.
