Fangoria MAGAZINE, THE essential study aid for horror movie fans everywhere, just turned 30!
Since 1979 it’s been bringing the inside scoop on the sickest, most disturbing films from the moment they were exposed to celluloid.
This year’s gathering proved to be a bizarre bazaar for horror fans and fledgling directors alike, with homemade nasties and collectibles being the order of the day. Even our pal Bob Self was there to talk up the weirdest new artists.
Highlights included Italian horror master Dario Argento receiving Fangoria’s Lifetime Achievement award, and hearing the great Herschell Gordon Lewis talking about the making of Blood Feast in 1963 – a film that single-handedly started the splatter movie boom and the reason Fangoria exists today.
