3D body modifications are spreading like wildfire, with estimates of 'modified' people worldwide topping 50,000. And that figure is growing. Interested in adding your name to that list? There are now three implant' options available:

- Subdermal Implants, which are housed under the skin to give a 3D raised appearance.

- Transdermal Implants, which appear partially under the skin and partially above it.

- Microdermals, which are similar to transdermals only much smaller and so easy to insert they're just like a regular piercing.

Of course, you could also opt for an eyeball implant, introduced back in 2004 by specialists from the Netherlands Institute for Innovative Ocular Surgery (NIIOC). "This procedure is a bit of a fun thing and a very personal thing for people," said NIIOC director Gerrit Melles.
