Rob Zombie, notorious frontman for metalheads White Zombie and director of cult horror nasties The Devil's Rejects and House of 1000 Corpses, is currently helming a movie 're-imagining' of John Carpenter's seminal slasher flick Halloween.
Originally made in 1978, the film introduced audiences to rampaging masked murderer Michael Myers, while giving Jamie Lee Curtis her 'scream queen' break. Zombie's retelling of the story (expected to be part prequel, part remake) stars relative newcomer Scout Taylor-Compton and Malcolm McDowell, and is set for US cinemas in August 2007 (UK release date TBC).
