For us Brits, a love hotel sounds like something you might take a hooker to. In Japan, however, it's a blossoming trade, with more than 20,000 sex-themed locales for couples and beyond to enjoy.

The largest of these is 'love hotel hill', in Shibuya's Dougenzaka, where an entire section of the city is devoted to road after road of love hotels. Young people use them as privacy from their parents, married couples use them for added bite, and of course, deviant husbands use them to secretly liaise with their mistresses...
