These shocking, unprintable images have surfaced on the internet showing a woman preparing, slicing and ultimately boiling a human foetus in a placenta-soup, setting it on a table next to six empty bowls, surrounded by people.
It has recently been established that cannibalism of foetuses and young infants in China is disturbingly high, as they are sought after as a maintainer of health, and a restorer of beauty.
Sources have shown that this cannibalistic-delicacy isn’t even hard to obtain. Aborted foetuses can simply be brought from hospitals. Even though there's awaiting list, they are in high supply due to China's controversial one-child policy, which has been in strict effect since 1980, forcing women to have an abortion if they become pregnant again after conceiving their first child.
Wealthy Chinese citizens with the right connections will be able to obtain the most sought after human delicacies, which are the more mature foetuses. A male foetus is considered as the "prime" of human flesh.
This incident of foetal-cannibalism in modern China is nothing new, as human foetuses are a traditional Chinese medicine, thought to be particularly effective in curing asthma and repleneshing the skin.
In 1995, a reporter managed to obtain ten freshly aborted thumb-sized foetuses in a jar from a hospital that gives them out for free, but admittingly usually keeps them for themselves. A woman from Hubei even admitted to the reporter that she feeds foetuses to her weak nephews in the form of stew or meat cakes.
In 2003, a truck was stopped in Bingyan, Gunagxi Province containing the nearly dead bodies of 28 female babies, packed in bags three or four at a time.
