This year's Rubber Ball seemed more packed than ever, with a heaving mass of sweaty bodies crammed into every available corner. The theme was 'stage and screen' and we spied a kinky Superman, pervy pirates, a host of cabaret and chorus girls, and Wa Latex Jesus, complete with a barbed-wire crown of thorns. The club was split into different rooms with plenty of punishment being dished out in the Hammer House of Horrors Dungeon and lightsabers at dawn in the Sci-Fi room.

As free ice creams were passed around by sexy usherettes, clubbers enjoyed a randy nun wearing a huge black strap-on dripping red-hot wax on a convent girl's shaved bits, and a man and woman with an oversized penis and vagina storming the stage and ending in a squirting finale. Brian Molko from Placebo rubbed shoulders with gladiators and Star Trek freaks and everyone enjoyed bumping and grinding into the wee hours.
