Facebook is a wonderful invention, isn’t it?

Not only does it provide an opportunity to procrastinate profusely during our working day (that’s if your mean bosses haven’t already enforced a ban), but it’s so easy to set up a cosy gathering of all your favourite freaks.

That’s what we did. One wittily written emailed fired out to all our friends and enemies and, before we knew it, they were spilling through the door on the big night, knocking us flying to get to the cocktail bar. Well, excuse us, why don’t you!

While the human fighting machines from Lucha Britannia were growling through their masks, and sexy Ultra Vixens in eye-wateringly tight corsets pouted on barstools, we played dutiful host and mingled.

It wasn’t long before sensible talk of the poo fight application and zombies descended into an alcoholic blur. In a flurry of impromptu street entertainment, one guest set light to his fireman’s helmet while riding a mini stunt bike.

You couldn’t have planned it if you tried, and it was all thanks to Facebook. And a free bar.
