Any self-respecting geek knows Comic-Con is the mother of all fan conventions, with big hitters such as Capcom, DC Comics and Warner Brothers on hand to welcome the 125,000 visitors who flock there each year.
There were hordes of Batmans at the 2008 event, from Adam West-alikes to Christian Bale-era copycats – and you couldn’t throw a batarang without hitting someone dressed as Heath Ledger’s Joker.
But Bizarre’s favourite costume was a homemade effort by Lauren Baker, who was dressed as Blaster from Transformers.
There were a surprising number of hot girls at the nerdfest. Dudes were running around searching for vintage Princess Leia dolls, while all these lifesize human hotties dressed as Leia stood around watching. Go figure.
Later, the Brotherhood’s 7th X-Sanguin VII Comic-Con afterparty on Saturday night was a shlocky, sexy extravaganza, where topless vampires got down with steampunks and transvestite nuns. Kapow!
